SPIRITUAL GROWTH

We live in a society where expediency is expected, so it's not strange that some Christians pray "Oh God, give me patience, now".
But that is not the way to get it.  Neither patience, love nor any other virtue comes overnight. (Ezekiel 47: 12)

When a person becomes a Christian, he is born again. (John 3:3)  And everything that is born grows and matures.

However spiritual growth is not only for the new believer, but also for older Christians for no one really arrives to perfection during his lifetime. (Philippians 3:12)

There are different levels of growth.  Some new believers quickly develop godly qualities, while some older Christians seem to be stuck in a seedling stage. (Hebrews 5:12)

Some of this is probably due to individual personality.

But there are other factors that affect growth. Much like a plant needs water, soil, and sunlight;

So a believer needs prayer, Bible study, fellowship, and many other activities. (Galatians 5:22)

It may seem like there are a lot of activities, but they don’t need to be done at once.

Each activity is needed for healthy growth, and time should be taken for each one of them. (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

Some would say that we should just let go and allow God to give us this growth,
But the Bible encourages the Christian to become an active participant in his own growth.
(Colossians 1:10)

Let us grow into maturity.
(Hebrews 6:1)

Prayer Requests

Due to the amount of prayers requested, it is not possible for us to pray individually for every prayer request, and it would be dishonest to imply that we do. So instead we will add your prayer request to our list, which we will take before The Lord God Almighty.

Yes, I wish for you to include me in your prayer list
