Many say that it is not necessary, and that it doesn't matter how it is done. However the Bible clearly states that baptism doth also now save us (I Peter 3:21)
Naaman the Syrian came to be healed by the Prophet Elisha, and Elisha sent his servant to tell him "Go wash in Jordan seven times and thy flesh shall come to thee, and thou shalt be clean". (II Kings 5:10)
However Naaman got angry, because he was expecting to be healed some other way.  Nevertheless he obeyed.
Ananias was sent by God to Paul saying "Why tarriest thou? Arise, and be baptized and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord". (Acts 22:16) And he willingly obeyed.
However today when God sends a messenger to the people, telling them "Repent and be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ".
They not only refuse to obey, but even get angry and persecute the messenger. In spite of what some may say, there is no other way to baptize than in the holy name of Jesus.
Peter baptized in Jesus name
(Acts 2:38)
Philip baptized in Jesus name
(Acts 8:16)
Paul baptized in Jesus name
(Acts 19:5)
Let us baptize in Jesus name
(Luke 24:47)

Prayer Requests

Due to the amount of prayers requested, it is not possible for us to pray individually for every prayer request, and it would be dishonest to imply that we do. So instead we will add your prayer request to our list, which we will take before The Lord God Almighty.

Yes, I wish for you to include me in your prayer list
